Has Your Life Been Chaotic Lately? How to Allow God's Peace to Perfect Us

Has your life been chaotic lately?

Have you been searching for a moment of peace in this chaos and you have been having a hard time finding it?

Have you been so consumed by the craziness of your life lately that you haven't allowed God's perfect peace to give you rest?

Trust me when I say.... I get it.

This world is full of craziness and chaos and things happen every day. We are going to get overwhelmed and stressed out, and things are going to happen, but God gives us peace. The peace that He gives us is unlike anything else. It's not the peace that the world gives. So we have to allow God's peace to perfect us. We have to allow that peace in our hearts and not be consumed with all the craziness going on.

First I want to say a quick prayer. LORD, I pray that you lift up every single person reading this right now. I pray that you wrap your arms around us LORD and give us peace. Help us to see that You are right here with us and that we have to lean on You through every aspect of our lives. LORD, I pray that whatever it is that each person is supposed to receive from this episode, they receive it and they implement it in their daily lives. I love you with every ounce of my being. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Let's get into some scripture:

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:7

"Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you." -2 Thessalonians 3:16

The Lord of peace himself, Jesus Christ, gives us peace at all times and in every way. Peace is an aspect of the fruit of the spirit. So we have peace, but we have to ask God to reveal it in our hearts and we have to allow God's peace to perfect us. I'm not saying that we're going to be perfect because in this world we're not going to be perfect. We're all humans and we all make mistakes. The only way we're going to be perfect is when we enter into heaven. God gives us peace and when we have that peace, we're able to have patience. We're able to stand firm in our faith by having that peace and just being content and knowing that God's right here with us and not having to stress about all the chaos in the world. Letting God's peace perfect us is going to help us to do all that God's called us to do.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God." -Matthew 5:9

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." -John 14:27

So this is Jesus saying to His disciples that He leaves us with peace and He doesn't give us peace as the world gives. Whenever we have a moment of peace in the world, it's just a very slight moment of peace. Maybe something makes us happy, maybe we feel at peace for a moment. Maybe we take a hot bath or something where we just kind of ease our mind, and it gives us a little moment of peace, but the peace that Jesus gives us is everlasting. That's not peace that the world gives. With the peace of God we have eternal life. Whenever we go to heaven, we won't have any sorrows, we won't have any doubts, and we won't have all of the hardships. In this world, we are going to face hardships and we are going to have troubles, but God gives us peace and He gives us the Holy Spirit to guide us and to counsel us. We have the fruit of the Spirit in us, and one of the aspects of the fruit of the Spirit is peace.

So how can we allow God's peace to perfect us?

So to allow that is to realize and recognize that 1. We can't get peace from this world, not real true everlasting peace. Our peace comes from God. 2. To rest in God, in His presence, in His word, in prayer, and in scripture. 3. Whenever we're going through all the chaos, when we're going through all the craziness, we have to just take a step back, pray, and ask God to reveal the fruit of the Spirit in our hearts. We have to ask God to give us peace in the moments of chaos, to give us peace through everything that we're going through, and to just allow that to be in our hearts. We have to allow that peace to overcome us, to just flow through and just forget about all the craziness, forget about the chaos, and remain steadfast and hold onto the peace that God gives us. 4. We have to be still and spend time with God and know that He's right here and everything is going to be okay. God gives us everything that we need to grow through every aspect of our lives.

So I hope this episode helped you to know that in the chaos God gives us peace, and we have to take the peace that God gives us and allow it to work in us. We have to let go of our doubts, our worries, our fears, the chaos in the world, the craziness going on, let go of all of it, and just take the peace that God gives us. We have to ask God to reveal that peace in our hearts and just soak it in, be at peace with others, be at peace with circumstances, situations, decisions, where our life is going, and where we're at in this moment. We have to be at peace with it all and know that our true home is in heaven with Jesus and God the Father. This world is only our temporary home and the craziness that's going on doesn't even matter. What matters is staying steadfast, staying focused, standing firm in our faith, looking towards God, and leaning on him every step of the way.

I love you guys so much.
