True Inner PEACE Through Christ Jesus. 5 Bible Verses to Always Remember About the PEACE Within Us

Have you been feeling stressed out lately?

Do you have fear of what the future holds?

Have you just been feeling like you can't catch a break from all the craziness that has been happening in your life lately?

Trust me... I've been there.

With all the chaos going on in the world each day, there could be so many reasons why we would be filled with anxiety if we give into this world and conform to it. In today's episode, I go over 5 Bible verses about peace and the true inner peace that we can only attain from Jesus Christ, from being saved by Him, and believing in Him. Whenever we feel fearful, we have anxiety, and we are just so consumed with the chaos in the world and in our everyday life, we can pray and ask God to reveal that peace in our hearts and then read and reflect on these 5 verses.

First I want to say a quick prayer... Lord, I pray that you lift up every single person reading this right now. Please open up our hearts, our minds, our eyes, and our ears to you Lord. Please reveal the fruit of peace in our hearts, LORD. Help us to receive that peace and know that through all the chaos you will give us peace and we have that peace within us. LORD, I can't thank you enough for every single thing you've done. I love you with every ounce of my being. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Here are 5 Bible verses about peace:

I want you to write down these verses and anytime that you start to get stressed out and need to be reminded of the peace within you, you can read these verses, reflect on them, and know that as a believer of Jesus you have true inner peace

1. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” -John 16:33

- This verse is what Jesus Christ said to His disciples. In the verses before He says that His disciples' grief will turn into joy and He's telling them all these things that are going to happen. Jesus Christ has overcome the world. He came on this earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose three days later, and whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life in heaven. Whenever we are saved by Jesus we have the Holy Spirit within us and we have the fruit of the Spirit. One aspect of the fruit of the Spirit is peace, so we have that peace within us whenever we are saved by Jesus.

- It seems that every day the world is just more and more chaotic and there could be so many reasons why you would be filled with anxiety if you give into this world and conform to it. We know as believers that we have peace automatically when we are saved. If we believe in Jesus Christ we have the fruit of the Spirit and we have peace within us. In this world, we are going to have trouble, Jesus says it right here in this verse, but we can take heart because Jesus has overcome the world and our true home is in heaven with Jesus and God the Father. This world is just our temporary home. Anytime we are filled with anxiety and we have these worries and doubts, and there's just so much stress and different things going on in this world, we can have peace in knowing that Jesus has already overcome the world.

2. "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you." -2 Thessalonians 3:16

- This is what Paul said in his letter to the people in the church of Thessalonica. Like I said with our other Bible verse that I just read, peace is within us whenever we are saved by Jesus. So we always have that peace within us, and at all times and in every way, we have peace from the Lord of peace. Jesus Christ gives us peace whenever He saves us and we have the Holy Spirit within us and the fruit of the Spirit.

- Even though sometimes we may be worried, stressed, or have anxiety because we are human and so many things in this world can cause us to get a little freaked out sometimes, we can have comfort in knowing that we have that peace within us all the time. The Lord will always provide us with that peace we just have to ask him to reveal it in our hearts. Whenever we do start to get stressed out, have anxiety, all these worries, and just different things that we can't control, we can look back on these verses and be reminded of the true inner peace that we have from Christ.

3. "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." -Isaiah 26:3

- This was one of the verses from a song of praise from the prophet Isaiah. Whenever we put our trust in the Lord and we stand firm in our faith, He will keep our minds in perfect peace. The Lord is not a Lord of confusion or destruction but a Lord of peace. We just have to put our trust in Him completely and know that He's got us and He will give us that peace, strength, and everything that we need to grow through every aspect of our life.

- The LORD will never leave or forsake us. He is right here with us, and we have the Holy Spirit within us to guide us, give us peace, show us the truth, and help us with every decision that we make through every aspect of our lives.

4. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." -John 14:27

- In this verse, Jesus is talking to His disciples about giving them peace. In the verses before that Jesus promises the Holy Spirit to His disciples and believers of Jesus Christ. In this world, we can have temporary peace with different things that we can try to do to calm our mind or that may help relieve our stress and anxiety for the moment, but the only way we can attain true inner peace is from Jesus Christ (from being saved by Jesus and having the Holy Spirit within us).

- Once we have the Holy Spirit then we have the fruit of the Spirit and one aspect of the fruit of the Spirit is peace. Knowing that we have peace within us, we can have hope and not be troubled or afraid because no matter what's going on in this world, the different hardships that we face, and the troubles in this world, we have that peace within us. As believers of Jesus, we have the Holy Spirit within us, we are saved by Jesus Christ, and our true home is in heaven with Him and God the Father. There is nothing that can take that from us. We shouldn't be afraid of what the people in this world are going to do or think or be afraid of death, disaster, or anything really because we know that this world is just our temporary home. Whenever it's our time to go we're going to be going to heaven and that is the ultimate gift (eternal life in heaven with Jesus and God the Father).

5. "There is deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but joy for those who promote peace." -Proverbs 12:20

- This world is full of deception because there are a lot of people in this world who plot evil. The people that promote peace (Christians in this world that have peace within us) will have joy.

- I wanted to leave this as the last verse of this episode because it leads me to our word for next week which is joy. Next week we are going to go over 5 different Bible verses pertaining to joy, so make sure you stay tuned for that.

I hope this episode helped you guys to know that no matter what struggles you are facing or no matter what chaos that is going on in this world, the stress of everyday life, the anxiety, the worries, the doubts, all of that, you can have hope in knowing that we have peace within us. You can ask God to reveal that peace in your heart and just trust in the LORD completely. We don't have to be afraid of the things that happen in this world because when it's our time to go we're going to be going to heaven with Jesus and God the Father and that is far greater than anything. Any high that could happen in this world will never compare to seeing the glory of Jesus Christ and God the Father when we go to heaven. No matter how low our lows get or how bad it gets in this world, nothing can ever take away our gift of eternal life. If we are saved by Jesus Christ then we are going to heaven and nothing can take that away from us, so we can have peace and joy in knowing that.

I love you guys so much.

Never forget to choose faith over fear.
